Dad Bod WOD by Ty McMillan

Dad Bod WOD is the name Ty McMillan uses for his own training: real workouts, done consistently, around a full life as a dad and business owner.

What the name means

"WOD" is CrossFit shorthand for workout of the day. Ty is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, so the name fit: Dad Bod WOD is a dad's workout of the day, shared openly on Instagram at @dadbodwd.

Consistency over a perfect schedule

Ty is the Founder of RingForeman and Bench Cut Studio and the Owner of Charleston Bench Advisory LLC, so spare time is short. Weekdays often start at 5:30 AM in the gym, then work. The idea behind Dad Bod WOD is simple: honest, steady progress beats perfection, and the win is showing up again tomorrow.

What the training looks like

CrossFit-style functional movements, B3 BFR (blood flow restriction) training, and obstacle courses at the Spartan race.
